Chiang Mai Zoo

Chiang Mai Zoo

Bright and early Thursday morning, we decided – thanks to the persuasion of our friend Dr. Nantarika Chansue (AKA Ning) – to fly to northern Thailand to the city of Chiang Mai.

As soon as we arrived, we headed towards the Chiang Mai Zoo to see their chelonians (including one Manouria impressa) and some of Ning’s work. We visited the vet office on our way out to see the confiscated/quarantined creatures, including a juvenile Platysternon megacephalum, a couple way-too-cute slow lorises, and a cranky leopard cat.
